These lights are mounted on the inside bottom of the door shell, just below the door panel. When the door is opened, the light is activated. It comes fully assembled with a lens, housing, bulb, bezel screws and correct pigtail wiring. You can place it right into the factory location since it's a direct fit replacement and a perfect reproduction of the original, and you won't even have to worry about buying a light bulb since this comes with the correct size bulb for even better illumination.
